I was responsible for planning the drivers' route for the week, booking loads, negotiating on the rates, dispatching the drivers, and monitoring them throughout the transit.
Establishing a strong connection with brokers was also one of the tasks, giving regular updates and solving any issues that might have popped up along the way.

As a safety manager, I worked with various tasks.
Monitoring and editing logs in Samsara was the main task, but I also worked with driver's qualifications, insurance for drivers and trucks/trailers, accidents, claims, assigned trainings to drivers who were not compliant with the DOT regulations, and HazMat training.
Also, I was taking care of issuing and renewing permits, and assigning EFS cards to the drivers, monitoring fraud activity, and I did all the truck/trailer swaps within the company at the time (including switching ELD, prepass, EFS card; swapping on insurance, updating in ProTransport).

Here I worked with exclusively conestoga trailers.
Main responsibilities were, again, communication with the drivers and the brokers, checking and confirming all the details I received on the rate confirmations, monitoring the transportation of the loads from the shipper to the receiver.
Of course, all the positions included checking the BOLs after the dliveries and uploading them to different systems (worked with both ProTransport and McLeod).

I had various type of trailers to take care of: dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, also worked with step deck and conestoga trailers.
I also operated with power only, since some of the drivers did not have a trailer.
